The Witcher 2 Enhancement Project 1.0
by Tore Andersen

The Witcher 2 E.E. is the second game in the legendary RPG series about the witch hunter Geralt. The game was developed by Polish developers "CD Project RED", and released by Atari in 2011. This second game is technically much better that the first Witcher game. Both the fighting mechanics and graphics are superb, even for today's standards (2017).

The Witcher 2 Enhancement Project (W2EP), is a small step-by-step guide on how to improve The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition. No modding experience needed. It mostly includes improving the textures and adding some new content. The lighting and effects are already perfect as they are, as long as proper settings are applied, so no extra shaders/renders are necessary.

The Witcher 2 Assassins of Kings E.E. Game Info

The Witcher 2 Assassins of Kings was released in 2011, and following the Enhanced Edition in 2012. The game takes place directly after the end of the previous Witcher game. Like it's predecessor, the storyline of the Witcher 2 depends on the players choices. The game has three independent story lines, leading to multiple endings, which makes it feel more of an open-world game, even though it's still pretty obvious in which directions the game wants the player to go. Technically the game is much more detailed and immersive than the first Witcher game. The controls and fighting mechanics has been greatly improved, which gives a much better flow of the game.
The story of the Witcher 2 Assassins of Kings is rich and full of detail. The characters are equally detailed and interesting, and the ability to have adult relations strengthens both immersion and atmosphere. It's still a relatively small part of the game, but it has more weight in the second part, and brings significance to the players development and character relations. It gives the story and characters depth in a different way. Triss is still the most important girl in Geralts story, but she's not the only.
The Enhanced Edition of the Witcher 2 has 10GB of new content! Several hours of game-play, a new arena mode, tutorials, new cinematics, and some game-play & interface fixes.
In 2011, The Witcher 2 Assassins of Kings received exceptional reviews by critics. It won over 50 awards for best graphics, best use of license, best story, best RPG & best PC game of the year. A few feminist writers were of course complaining about the few scenes in the game that contains nudity, but since it's just a natural part of the game, no one took the feminist whining seriously.
