Game info: Classic vampire action games from 2002/2004, developed by Terminal Reality and published by Majesco Entertainment. Both games were mostly famous for their female main-character, Rayne. A half-human/vampire wearing a tight latex outfit while hunting down vampires and Nazis. The games were solid back in 2002/2004, but they are not exactly impressive today. This guide will get both games working in HD resolution on Win7/8/10, and upgrade BloodRayne 2 with some new HD textures.

BLOODRAYNE 1

1: Windows 7/8/10 Fix: (DOWNLOAD)
Download and unpack into the BloodRayne game-folder. Overwrite.

2: Change resolution:
Open the "system" folder inside the BloodRayne game-folder, and open "rayne.ini" with Notepad.
Find:
gamePIXY=
gamePIXX=
Set the values to match your screen resolution.
Example for 4K, use:
gamePIXY=2160
gamePIXX=3840

3: Force Anti-Aliasing (AA):
For whatever reason, AA can't be selected in the in-game options, and it doesn't work when forced via the Nvidia control panel either. However, this can be fixed by setting a compatibility flag in Nvidia Profile Inspector.

If you don't already have Nvidia Profile Inspector, download from here: (LINK) *Unpack to anywhere you want the program. No installation needed.

1: Run Nvidia Profile Inspector.
2: Find the Nocturne profile, and set Antialiasing mode to "Override", as shown in the below image, and choose your desired AA type.
3: Set Antialiasing compatibility to this code: "0x000000C0". You can't choose it from the menu, so you have to type it manually. *It's an older compatibility mode that works with older games.
4: Set Antialiasing fix to "On".
5: Set Antialiasing - Behavior Flags to "None", and Apply changes.

GAME INFO

BloodRayne is a third-person action video game developed by Terminal Reality and published by Majesco Entertainment. The game was released in 2002 for Xbox, PlayStation 2 and PC, and followed by a sequel, BloodRayne 2 in 2004. The game was critically acclaimed for its fast-paced action and unique setting, but also faced criticism for its camera and control issues.

The gameplay of BloodRayne 1 & 2 is centered around fast-paced action, with players taking on the role of the titular character, a dhampir (half-vampire, half-human) named Rayne. Players must navigate through levels, using a combination of melee combat, guns and supernatural abilities to take out enemies. The game also features a "Blood Rage" mode, which allows players to slow down time and deal extra damage for a limited period, adding a strategic element to the gameplay. Players also have the ability to jump and climb, which allows for more exploration of the game world. The game also features boss battles and puzzle-solving elements.

The game's graphics were praised for their use of realistic lighting and detailed character models. The game's environments are also highly detailed, featuring a mix of gothic and industrial settings. The game's characters are also highly detailed, with realistic animation and expressive facial features. The game also features a unique art style that sets it apart from other games in the genre.

The development of BloodRayne 1 & 2 was led by Terminal Reality, a studio known for its work on other action games like the Ghostbusters: The Video Game. The game's development was not without its challenges, with the team facing a number of technical difficulties and a tight deadline to release the game. The game's creator and director, Uwe Boll also directed the movie adaptation of BloodRayne, which was released in 2005.

BloodRayne 1 & 2 was released to generally positive reviews from critics, with many praising the game's fast-paced action and unique setting, but also faced criticism for its camera and control issues. The game's graphics, art style and atmosphere were also highly praised. The game's multiplayer mode in BloodRayne 2 was also well received.

Overall, BloodRayne 1 & 2 is a game that is worth playing for fans of the action genre. The game's fast-paced action, unique setting and art style make it a memorable experience that will stick with players long after they've finished it. The game's multiplayer mode in BloodRayne 2 also adds a lot to the replayability of the game. The game's camera and control issues, however, were cited as major drawbacks, but they were addressed in the later versions of the game, which were released on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The game's modding community is also active and many fan-made mods have been released, which adds to the longevity of the game.
